Breast cancer is
very common amongst women; especially ladies above 40 years of age. The
aftermath of breast cancer includes breast mutilation, breast discharge and ultimately, death of the victim.
However, recent
studies have shown that ladies who consume the foods listed below are at a
higher risk of getting breast cancer.
Caffeine Beverages: Health experts are of the opinion that excess consumption of caffeine
beverages could lead to breast cancer. However, this has not been
scientifically proven.
Meat: Cancer Research
UK has suggested that consumption of red meat can increase the risk of getting
breast cancer. Consuming a lot of processed/canned meat is also another cause
of the ailment.
Fat Rich Food: Avoiding foods rich in saturated fats could decrease the risk of having
breast cancer. Cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders and obesity are examples of
ailments associated with excess consumption of fatty foods.
Soy Foods: Health experts such as the America Cancer
Society are of the opinion that ladies with breast cancer should avoid having
soy in their diet as it could make their condition move from bad to worse. Soy contain
estrogen-producing phytochemicals which are linked to breast cancer.
