Most ladies have
itchy vaginas and funny enough, they don’t know the cause. An itchy vagina is downright
worrisome and very uncomfortable.
The following are
the causes of an itchy vagina,
YEAST
INFECTION: The most common cause of itchy
vagina is yeast infection. When the vagina loses acidity, yeast can build up on
the vulva and this would lead to an infection. A lady with a yeast infectionwould experience extreme itchiness and odourless thick white discharge from the
vagina.
IRRITATION/ALLERGIES:
Discontinue the usage of bathing soaps or feminine sprays that you are allergic
to you. Constantly using a soap that you are allergic to in washing your vagina
could cause irritation and ultimately lead to itching.
STIs:
Sexually transmitted infections can cause itching of the vagina. “Trichomonas vaginalis”
is an example of a parasite that is sexually transmitted and it causes vagina
itch.
SHAVING
PROBLEMS: Shaving your pubic hair makes the
vagina very attractive. However, when the hair starts growing again, you might
experience itch on the vagina. If you are always experiencing this problem,
either use a shaving cream or use a scissors as against a shaving stick.
MENOPAUSE:
Attaining menopause reduces your estrogen level and such a reduction makes the mucosal lining of the
vagina thin thereby leading to itch in your vagina.
If you are experiencing
vagina itch, kindly visit the nearest hospital for treatment.......thanks.
