SEX DURING PREGNANCY (THE DO’S & DONT’S)

Most ladies avoid sexual intercourse during pregnancy because they feel/think that they could experience miscarriage after intercourse. If you have this mindset, this article will prove you wrong.

Choose An Easy Position For You And Your Spouse: When the issue of sex during pregnancy is raised, the first question that comes to mind is “which position is safer for a heavily pregnant woman during intercourse?” The answer to that question is to maintain an open mind, be creative and try different position that best work for you.

Examples of position that works for pregnant women are:

i. Try to be on top during intercourse. Doing the missionary pattern of your partner being on top won’t work at all.

ii. Having sex in a “spooning” position is also very good for pregnant ladies.

iii. Try sitting on a chair and get your partner to kneel or stand behind you.

iv. Doing the “doggy style” is the best position for you.

Always Use Pillows: If you must enjoy sex during pregnancy, then the pillow must be your “best friend”. During sex, place a pillow under your ass; this will prop your body upwards while creating the right angle for easy penetration.

Alternative Forms Of Sex Is Highly Recommended: Kindly practice “oral sex” as often as possible during pregnancy. The truth is that you don’t have to always be “physically penetrated” during intercourse.

Don’t practice “anal sex” as this could lead to infection spreading to the vagina which might affect your baby.

Take It Easy On Yourself: If you don’t enjoy sex during pregnancy, kindly communicate to your partner and don’t force yourself.

WARNING:

Don’t practice sex during pregnancy if your doctor advises you against it.
